Thank you Josh

Life has been a tad bit overwhelming in the last few weeks as both Josh and I feel the need to ready our home, our work schedules, and everything associated with our lives for the arrival of Baby C.

Sometimes having two adults in one home that are both running their own businesses and trying to maintain a household that is in a state of disrepair while it is being repaired means that often these two adults aren't spending quality time together - just enjoying each other.  Add in the fact that there is a baby on the way so one of these adults sometimes feels a little "moody" and has biweekly doctor's appointments and both adults have a weekly parenting class - and you end up with the feeling that these two adults are being pulled in far too many directions to count and that the minimal amount of quality time these two adults had together is now even smaller or nonexistant!

Well, even though there was a "To-Do" list a mile long for this weekend and NOTHING was going smoothly so everything was taking twice as long - Josh decided it was time for us to relax - even if just for a day.

Sunday morning I was told that I wasn't going to get my list done but that I needed to pack an overnight bag as we were going to do a little window shopping (and maybe some real shopping) and then we were going to spend the night in a hotel with a heated pool.  I had been itching to go swimming and we learned in class that swimming was a great form of exercise and relaxation for any pregnant person.  The day was just perfect!

We started out with some shopping in Freeport and then it was off to Portland for our 'night away'.  The swimming was amazing (and the weight difference I felt getting out of the pool demonstrated how much extra weight and pressure are truly on my joints each day) and simply being together with no laptops, no workphones, and no household tasks waiting to be done was wonderful.  We spent some much needed quality time together and it was truly the BEST day I have had in a LONG time!

I love you Josh and thank you so much for an amazing mini get-away!

xoxo
